Capri S. Cafaro is a radio host, cookbook author, cultural reporter and television personality.
Her culinary podcast and radio show, Eat Your Heartland Out, a show about the intersection of food and culture in the American Midwest, is in its third year. Produced by Heritage Radio Network, Eat Your Heartland Out is also distributed on the Public Radio Exchange (PRX), which provides content to public radio affiliates across the United States. Eat Your Heartland Out was nominated for Heritage Radio Network’s 14th Annual Taste Awards in three categories: “Best Food Program Online and Streaming,” “Viewer’s Choice for Best Food or Drink Radio Broadcast,” and “Viewer’s Choice for Best City or Regional Program.” The show also airs on select NPR affiliates in the Midwest region, and on Sirius XM channel 147 Rural Radio on Sundays at 7 p.m. (Eastern).
Her debut cookbook United We Eat, received international acclaim. United We Eat features 50 recipes that tell America’s unique story and show how food can bring people together. As part of her book tour, Capri has done a variety of television cooking segments on stations across North America.
Capri’s reporting can be found on a number of public media outlets. She an on-air contributor to Great Lakes Now from Detroit Public Television and provides written content for the show’s online articles. In addition, Capri is a Folkways Corps reporter for Inside Appalachia, produced by West Virginia Public Radio. Both Great Lakes Now and Inside Appalachia are aired on several PBS and NPR affiliates, respectively.

Capri holds an undergraduate degree in American Studies from Stanford University, a Master’s degree from Georgetown University with a concentration in International Studies and a Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University.
Jesse Roesler is an Emmy and James Beard award-winning filmmaker whose work has moved millions via The Travel Channel, Food Network and The New York Times. His debut feature film 'The Starfish Throwers' was named “The Most Heartwarming Film of the Year” by The Huffington Post and won the James Beard Award for Best Documentary in 2016. His original web series, ‘Comfort Nation,’ for which he served as show runner and director helped Food Network launch their Facebook Watch presence in 2018 and earned nearly 20 million views on that platform. Jesse recently won a 2020 Daytime Travel and Adventure Emmy for his work as a writer on Discovery’s The Zimmern List and is currently show-running several new streaming docu-series for Chip & Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Network.
